Web Design Editors
November 23rd, 2009 . by adminLet’s talk in this article about Scotland Web Design HTML editors, programs that serve to create web pages with HTML.
HTML editors are of two types, as we shall see, some can encode pages using HTML language itself, based on labels and allow us to design a web page, as if we were writing an advanced text editor, without to write code with the tags. This last aspect, which can be called editors in design mode, presents an additional facility for people who do not want to complicate your life with HTML, because they have no time to learn or because they feel unable to do so. The editors in design mode allows us to create the page as if we were writing a document with a Word type editor. The HTML editor is in charge of coping with the language and program internally with the HTML page as we are designing.
With the HTML editor in design view we can post images, defining styles, use bold or italics, etc.. without worrying about the labels for each style or item. He is the editor who knows and uses these labels properly. This type of design mode HTML editors are called, in technical parlance WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) because when you work with them as you see you’re creating the editor is what you get then when you save.
There are two trends, both among the developers who are devoted to web pages. On the one hand we have people who prefer to start programming the HTML pages and other persons using HTML editors in design mode. Some differences between using it in one way or another are:
Writing HTML with a WYSIWYG editor
Dominas with greater precision the page code, it is cleaner. If you master HTML or never have any problem doing what you want. The page code is poor quality, even mistakes can have more or less visible, which cost fix. It is the machine that dominates the work.
Learning is more complicated, slower and when you reach an advanced level is also considerably more difficult learning is easy as can be to work in Word. Only it comes to handling a larger program. Make a page costs more work and time. It’s very fast.
Each must choose the path that suits you or you look more attractive. Anyway you can always start one way and then switch to another mode without any problem. Even with anticipating events, we would say that when someone digs into the web design comes a time when he needs to know the two ways to build webs. For developers, they will need to learn HTML editor because it will increase their productivity and those who use editors need to learn a little HTML to fix something that the editor has done wrong or do something that the editor can not do.
This manual is written by someone who learned to make their first websites in notepad and I can sometimes be more inclined to write the HTML code yourself. Although my advice is to learn HTML, I’m sure many will prefer an editor in design mode do the simplest things. If the WYSIWYG HTML editor is good and perfectly mastered can get perfect results.
When I think "intelligent design" I think of a Leatherman tool, Firefox, the bicycle and the wonderful elegant lines of Concorde.
