No Free Lunches and No Free MP3′s

September 30th, 2009 . by admin

I don’t know how many sites I’ve seen promoting free music downloads and when you look of course, it’s the old bait and switch. I assume that because their target market is probably teenagers with gift cards or parent’s credit cards, they can get away with it. My son absolutely believes these promotions and for some reason just doesn’t get it when he is required to enter account numbers for his free mp3′s. Next thing you know his (my)account is charged and he can’t figure out why I’m angry about his charges. Do you think that he is at least learning an expensive lesson?

Note sure of criminal law but under a civil liability issue, if you advertise as pet free and knowingly allow pets then a customer uses your hotel solely because of the pet free advertisement since they are allergic to pets and then are injured because the room was not pet free

but that is a very long fact pattern to hold liable
