This is a review of the only software and solution for this problem that we’re aware of.  There is used to be a work around that involved pressing certain commands on the keyboard, but this has reportedly stopped working long ago on Mac OS X.

So where does this leave someone who has forgotten their Mac OS X Password or has acquired a Mac computer which they don’t know the password for?

This is where the Mac OS X Password Reset Tool comes in.  For only $34.95 it does everything that is promised.

It located our Mac OS X installation and removed the password, we were able to login as root/administrator without using any password once it did its job.

This is a very handy tool for anyone, but especially IT or technology professionals who deal with customers or loved ones with Macintosh systems and need to remove or reset their Mac OS X password because they forgot it.

The other amazing part is that it was as simple as buying, downloading, burning and booting the CD.  The Mac OS X Password Reset Tool did everything as promised which is a breath of fresh air to us.
