As a mom who home schools her children, I also give them extra homework that will help them develop their social skills since their only interaction with other people is on weekends. I make my kids write reviews on short stories and do some speak up. I correct their grammar and sentence construction. I am very strict with that. I want them to be very articulate individuals, something that is a very important ingredient in the corporate world. I encourage them to use a grammar checker online in the process. In this very interesting world, their intelligence will go unnoticed if they do not show off what they know.
