My husband and I love to travel to new and exciting places, and when we took a trip to New Zealand last year, we wanted to truly experience all of the beauty that it has to offer. We had asked some friends of ours about their recent stay, and they told us to rent a Lake Taupo Holiday Home. We checked into it, and we fund a home that was ideal for us. It was private and affordable, and it was wonderful to have our own space to relax in. The scenery was majestic, and we liked being able to walk to town. It was a great vacation!

My first introduction to New Zealand came when I spent a year there as an exchange student.  As soon as I got back I started to make plans for my return.  When I was in college my school had a program to study abroad and I picked,  you guessed it,  New Zealand.  Now that I have finished college I am applying to the new zealand immigration for permission to move there permanently.  I have found that once a person has been to New Zealand for any time at all they always want to go back.  Some of us just want to stay when we get there.

The endearing kiwi birds are the national birds of New Zealand, like the bald eagle is the national bird of the USA. Rarely do you find kiwi birds in zoos because they are so nocturnal.

Most of the time people see kiwi birds in photograph or on Kiwi Bird Videos instead of in person. I saw kiwi birds in a specially simulated nocturnal exhibit in the San Diego Zoo a few years ago. It was great.

We wanted to relocate after my parents were gone, because it was so hard to be in the same spot. The kids were young so school transitions were not a problem. We wanted to live somewhere that was beautiful, but we did not have to learn a new language. We decided to move to New Zealand, it had the most beautiful fauna, and the birds were just exquisite. The boys were too little to know the difference.
