A friend of mine just moved to Australia for a new job and is so happy to be there. The only thing she told me that she dislikes is the fact that where she lives she cannot get internet access. You in what is considered to be a blackspot there. So I did a bit of research and found that she can get internet but she would just have to use a rural satellite to get them. Of course she had to fill out a form to check her eligibility but she eventually got her service and told me is just like regular broadband.

I started a new job recently and was brought into the company by a recruiter (which essentially means I was not seeking a position with the company, they sought me out). When I arrived the secretary put me in a room with the recruiter training DVDs. As you can imagine, like most training DVDs, these were slightly boring. I can understand that companies are required by law to show employees the videos on sexual harassment and safety, but it would be great for a company to come out with something interesting, or at the least, well done. After all, the company is a multi-million dollar company, put a little money in.
