Safety Issues of any Used Car should be checked

May 14th, 2010 . by admin

The safety of any used vehicle should always be at the very top of your list as you go around evaluating the condition of the cars you are interested in. The trip factor is usually going to be dependant on the gas mileage the vehicle gets as well as these all important safety tips. You should make sure that the seat belts are in good working order and then you should actually use them. Many of the used cars under 1000 dollars are going to have slight problems with them, but usually they are not all that bad. The seat belts however must be in working order for them to do you any good whatsoever. This is true of most mechanical as well as safety issues which you may have. The working used cars are pretty easy to spot when you think about it. As long as there are no bad surprises then the benefits typically out way most of the downsides.

Vauxhall Corsa Noises

January 13th, 2010 . by admin

I am starting to think that I am going to need a new car soon, Mine is making a funny noise every time I drive it. I have had it to the mechanic every week for the last six months. Every time I think it will be the last. Good thing I have been looking online for a good car. I think I have found the one that I want. It is the Vauxhall Corsa and it seems to be just what I need. Mainly the gas mileage. It is super. Right now the car I am driving needs its own oil well!

WaterForGas – It’s Not Just About Water

November 30th, 2008 . by admin

waterforgas is not just about using 100% water to run a car.

Rather it is about using water as part of a bigger solution by using a ‘Do It Yourself’ HHO Kit and the car battery to generate Brown Gas.

Brown Gas, also known as HHO Gas, is the fuel that runs your car.

The benefits of Brown gas is

1. It is more poerful, and more efficient

2. It emits less pollution

The two factors alone is a great incentive to try Water4Gas, and improve your gas mileage.  Of course, you cannot compare the car’s engine performance.  Just expect it to be less powerful but less reliant on gas.

Safety, Savings and Speed

October 29th, 2008 . by admin

Driving safely is linked with saving money which can both be determined by the speed that is driven.  The speed limit is not only important in keeping drivers and passengers as safe as possible but can also help save them a few bucks.  When driving the speed limit mostly on the freeways but also in town driving as well it can give drivers better gas mileage. The faster the vehicle is driven usually starting at 55 mph the more gas is used. Safety is always important so keeping safe speeds will help keep drivers, passengers and other vehicles as safe as possible. When the speed limit is obeyed safety and savings are at the drivers fingertips.

looking for a smart car

September 15th, 2008 . by admin

The soaring gas prices have led my husband and I to consider putting our SUV in the garage and using it for family traveling, and finding a car that has much better gas mileage for going to town for errands, taking children to school, etc. We thought we could possibly look for a smart car for running errands. We were stymied at how to start the process until we heard about used-cars-in-my-area.com from our neighbor, who had gotten a used car in my area for his teen-aged son. We are exited because we can even test drive the car before bidding.

Hybrid Cars Save On Gas

September 14th, 2008 . by admin

Have you ever considered a hybrid car? They are certainly becoming more popular and can make a definite improvement to the gas mileage figures you achieve. Once a hybrid vehicle was like a prototype but not any more. The principle is simple. You have a conventional gas powered car as well as a smaller electric engine. One works while the other rests. An engine which idles is wasting fuel.  By switching to the electric engine fuel is saved. Braking helps create a generator effect and thus charges the electric motor. At present the cost of manufacture is not as cheap as one would like but the costs are coming down and the reduction in conventional fuel use makes a hybrid car a great way to get a better gas mileage.

Put Water In Your Fuel Tank?

August 5th, 2008 . by admin

Many people can naturally get confused when they hear about cars running on water. Some of them actually think that you just put water into the fuel tank and then use the car as normal! Obviously it is a bit more complex than that but actually is quite a simple process. An HHO car is a car that uses hydrogen, oxygen and gasoline to power it. It gets the hydrogen and oxygen out of normal water from the tap and gives you an increased gas mileage. So you can save quite a lot of money by getting a water to gas converter.

How Does Your Auto Gas Mileage Compare?

August 5th, 2008 . by admin

When gas was cheap, it didn’t concern us what our auto gas milage was. We drove huge lumbering beasts of cars that guzzled gasoline like an alcoholic who has just found a barrel of beer. We could afford to, though in retrospect we shouldn’t have been so irresponsible. Now we are all paying attention to our auto gas mileage, for every gallon wasted represents more dollars than we would like to throw away. There are many things we can all do to make things better. We can start by driving more gently. Don’t accelerate so hard. Brake more gently, unless it’s an emergency, of course, and just generally think about the gas that surges through the engine every time you set you foot closer to the floor.
