May 11th, 2010 . by admin

Music Teaching can be a stressful career. It isn’t necessarily easy to front up to a class of young musicians every single day. Some would say that a music teachers job is easier than a math or english teacher, but what they forget to mention is the difference in the nature of the subjects. Music is, by its very nature a practical subject. Students have to actively participate and PLAY music, not just passively sit and hit the books as they do in some other subjects. Participation and playing with instruments is naturally going to have its fair share of challenges, and that is why the teacher is going to need a good supply of Music Lesson Plans to keep themselves up to date and their classes under control.

Hotels in London compared to American stays.

May 24th, 2008 . by admin

Last year my family took a trip through Europe and we stayed in several countries and cities along the way.

We stayed in a few hotels in London along with some bed and breakfasts as well.

The hotels varied so much from one to the next and there really was no middle ground that we saw. They were either poorly staffed and dingy, or they were over the top great, clean and staffed with friendly and informed staff.

We picked our stays by price and location because we were curious to see how hotels differ from American destinations and we’ve stayed in our fair share here in the states.

Wedding Cake Traditions

Many Wedding Cake Traditions Guarantee "Happily Ever After"

Long ago, wedding cakes were actually made of bread, created as a symbolism for the "breaking of bread" to signify the union between the husband and his wife and the two joining families. Historically, it was not uncommon for the bread to be broken over the brides head as a symbol of her breaking from her past and her entrance into her new union as a wife. This practice evolved into the breaking of bread and showering over the couples head as a sign of good fortune and luck in the marriage. This practice is not a universal practice however, and many different countries practice variations of the same basic theme.

There are many more variations on the wedding cake traditions and superstitions. It would appear that almost every aspect in wedding planning and celebrations has its fair share of traditions and superstitions to enhance the overall wedding experience.
