Precision Pays

February 7th, 2009 . by admin

My husband is very precise in just about everything. While were planning our wedding, he was not settling on disposable or digital cameras for our pictures. He did a lot of research and we decided to hire a Minneapolis Wedding Photographer. What a great choice. We went through several albums at the photographers studio studying each of his different shots and the features he was bringing out in the pictures. That was what made up our minds. Not only were the backgrounds of the pictures completely clear and almost looked like a painting, he was able to bring me and my husband out in the pictures where they almost looked like a full painting!

Save money by purchasing a refurbished camcorder

May 2nd, 2008 . by admin

A friend was recently capturing some footage on one of our regular expeditions and I noticed that she had a new camcorder. I know she is really into digital cameras and knows quite a bit about them. When I enquired about her latest camera she mentioned that she had discovered a great source for getting cameras cheap. The particular model she had was a refurbished camcorder. The great thing about this is that the model she purchased came with a price tag that was 50% off the recommended retail price. It was also backed up with a factory warranty which makes going for a refurbished model very appealing.

How To Ensure Correct White Balance

January 25th, 2008 . by admin

Even if you have a perfect shot setup with the right framing and a great subject, you can still ruin the entire shot if you don’t know how to set white balance.  Having the wrong white balance can make your pictures look dull, washed out, or just plain wrong.  Fortunately, if you have a digital camera, this isn’t as much of a problem as it is with a film camera since most digital cameras today have an “auto white balance” feature.  It’s similar to auto focus or any of the other myriad of “auto” functions included on cameras these days in that your camera is smart enough to know what white is.  However, cameras aren’t always right, so it pays to learn how to set your camera’s white balance if necessary.
