A Greener Career Path

September 28th, 2010 . by admin

My wife was really hating her job at the doctors office.  Every night she came home and complained about how mean the other ladies were—always gossiping and talking behind each other’s backs.  Plus, the doctors were aloof and disinterested in the politics.  On top of all that, she had to be at work at eight, which was earlier than she could easily get to after she took the kids to school.  When she found out that she could go through energy auditor training and make just as much money, with flexible hours AND contribute to the earth, she jumped on the idea.

My son works for a large home delivery company, which requires him to often lift heavy pieces of office furniture and supplies. This has been a miracle for my son, and he has since earned a promotion for his supreme job performance, and timely delivery record. This will be one job he has a definite future and career path with.

Ron Pollack – a Truly Inspirational Person

November 28th, 2008 . by admin

After reading a few extraordinary things online, I feel compelled to write about this guy, Ron Pollack.  I noticed him on several other profile sites as well, through a continued search of his impressive accomplishments online.  Ron graduated from Yale, then Harvard, after which he joined his family’s history in Real Estate for awhile before deciding on a new career path.  His companies and others strengthened and succeeded as he began to influence them with his own fiscal and investment strategies, mainly concentrating on Hedge Funds.  His accomplished artistry in Short-selling is what has brought him back to this market throughout his success.  This is a man who realizes the benefit of hard work and perseverance in any industry.  He is well-educated and extremely experienced in his field of work; he also displays true compassion in his charitable activities.  When I learned about his leadership positions with such high caliber organizations as the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project, the Vail Valley Foundation, and the Community Learning Center, I could not help but be impressed.  For our selfless and brave heros of September 11th, a good amount of these projects offered deeply needed and appreciated medical assistance.   The touching stories of these Hero’s who are finally able to sleep a whole night through and rid them selves of that horrid “9/11” cough that hundreds suffer from, is truly heartwarming.  It is noteworthy that Ron Pollack, a highly successful businessman dedicated to his family, contributes his valuable time to help lead these worthwhile foundations and achieve tremendous charity.

Are you a people person?

My sister-in-law just graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, and is now looking to specialize in the pediatrics venue of the field.

She researched Occupational Therapy Careers for several months before she decided to specialize.

She came to this decision based on the fact that she and my brother have been unable to conceive a child of their own, and she loves children.

She used to manage a daycare for children with mental disabilities, so she is no stranger to what is involved in this career path she has chosen.

I know she will do well. Her energy and love of children will make her tops in her field.

I always greet them with a smile.

When I was younger I had no clue what I wanted to be when I grew up. In fact when I went to college I majored in art history my first semester because I had no clue what career path I wanted to head down. I finally figured out that I wanted to be a pharmacy tech and quickly got certified and finished school. Now I work as a pharmacy tech and I couldn’t be happier. I feel like I am helping people everyday by getting them the medicine they need to get better. I love the career path I have chosen and couldn’t see myself doing any else.
