Second Hand English Horse Tack

June 7th, 2008 . by admin

I have a friend who teaches young girls how to ride and show horses. She currently uses all English tack and teaches only this style. Many of these young girls are not from affluent families and ride on other people’s horses. My friend tries really hard to find families good horses that they can purchase for a lower cost. The problem they must face, however, is that English horse tack is extremely expensive. Also unfortunately, second hand tack is not easy to come by. It seems like this would be a common problem. Do horse clubs organize equipment swaps of any kind? I know our local hockey club helps organize a swap and it allows a lot more kids participate in the sport.
