When you pass "Patent Pending" to Patented you know your invention is fully protected and you can sue anyone that even attempts to violate your rights. Under the patent laws you are the person holding the patent and you can control how it is manufactured, used, imported or exported and even duplicated. You own the rights to the invention for a set number of years after which it will go into the public domain. EThe only way to increase the life of the device patented is to modify it and get a new patent on the improvement. You’re essentially given rights to your invention for a limited time.
