Cooperating with the IRS in an IRS Audit
November 15th, 2008 . by adminIf you happen to be among lucky taxpayers to face an IRS audit, then you will need to do whatever you can to cooperate with the IRS so that the audit goes smoothly and it is painless for both you and the IRS audit agent assigned to audit you.
You may have seen in movies that you can give the IRS tax man a hard time by not cooperating but in reality it is not a wise thing to do to not cooperate with the IRS. Unlike in movies, the IRS is not likely to go above and beyond to make sure you get what is fair.
If you cannot prove something they will assume that you are in the wrong and slab you with tax bills.
