There are lots of Spanish schools in the world and there are lots of people who want to teach the language as well. To legally get into the field of teaching Spanish, you need to contact a Spanish school certified to be in the field and authorised by the Association of Spanish Language Academies in Spain. Once that, the school will test you to understand how much you know the language with some written and verbal tests. Your understanding of the language needs to be at a par with the native speakers and if you are a native speaker life becomes easy.

You may still be allowed to teach basic Spanish if you are capable of being at the level of intermediate Spanish.
