Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is behaving irrationally. Her campaign for the Democratic nomination has nowhere to go and has turned negative. She has become focussed on winning the Democratic nomination at any cost. And the outcome could well be the loss of the general election in the fall and the crippling of the Democratic Party for years to come. Never mind the prospect that the nation will be sentenced to at least four long years of Republicans in power.

The time has come for Hillary Rodham Clinton to put a stop to the negativity. She must end it now in advance of even further damage to the nation and to the party. We, the people, call on Hillary Clinton to stand down from her nomination bid and endorse Barack Obama. The time is now for a joining of the rivals to succeed and for an Obama victory in the fall.
