Our family recently volunteered time at the local food bank. Once a month on a Saturday we will not only bring food that we have collected but we will help sort food. We chose to do this because we thought it would be a great way to volunteer together. The immediate problem that I saw at this food bank is the highly dangerous flooring. There are numerous cracks and unleveled pavement. In one area it looks like there has never been any type of finish to the floor at all. I think my next project for volunteering is finding adequate flooring solutions that will protect the volunteers from slip and injury.
