We are planning on taking a summer vacation with my in laws so while we don’t have a lot of money, we wanted to put something together that several generations could enjoy.  My best friend put together a layaway vacation packages for her brother and her cousin and so I had her put together one for us. She’s not a travel agent or anything but she put together a hotel with a water park, a couple of mystery dinner reservations and a theme park.  She also got us a hotel that had free breakfast and a coffee and cobbler in the evening.  All of it was paid for before we left and we didn’t need a credit card.  It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had not having to worry about expenses.
