There are many aids available for hunting dog training.  Scent training is an important skill for any hunting dog to learn.  This can be accomplished with the use of dummies, usually canvas, foam or rubber objects about the same size and weight of the item you wish to hunt. Scent bands can be added to the dummies to help your pet learn to pick up follow specific scents. 

Training collars can not only help train the dog to not bark but can also be used for tracking the dog as they hunt their pray.   Modern collars can even be integrated with GPS devices so you know exactly where the dog is without having to listen to beeping that could scare away other animals.

Deterrent sprays are an important aid in training as they can be used to stop your dog from harming himself or an unintended target.

It is also important to carry plenty of water to hydrate both yourself and your pet during hunting dog training.
