One of the great things about a baby shower these days is that it does not have to follow a set format and you can really let your imagination run riot and use this as an opportunity to explore your own creativity. For example, when it comes to baby shower cake designs you do not have to stick to the traditional round, square or rectangular cake with blue for a boy or pink for girl. If you want a bright, multi-colored cake in the shape of a rainbow then that’s fine. Similarly, if you want to move away from a single cake and make individual cakes in the shape of building blocks or simple cup cakes then that is fine too. The secret is simply to make whatever takes your fancy and, as long as it is homemade, your guests will be thrilled with the results.
