What should I do if my Braun shaver not working perfectly on Day One?

February 21st, 2008 . by admin

Shaving with a quality electric shaver, like a Braun shaver, will give you a smooth shave — but it is almost certain that you will not have a smooth ride in the first few days you use it.

Both young men who are starting to shave, and older men who are switching to a new shaver, will have some trouble in the beginning while their face adjusts to the new machine.

There may be areas of the jaw or neck that get missed. The quality of the shave may not be as high as one would expect. Skin is irritated by the new machine.

Here’s some advice that I would offer you, if you are in this situation.

First, realize that this is normal. Many shavers report that it takes perhaps two, or even three weeks to get a new shaver ‘bedded in’ to that shape of your jaw and neck.

Second, use the shaver every day. Even when you’re tempted to get some relief from the discomfort and less-than-adequate performance from the new one, by going back to your previous shaver. Don’t give up. Your whiskers need to be trained for the new shaver. And the quickest way to do this is to pass the machine over your face daily. Mind you, if you are still not getting the shave you expected after, say, three weeks then return your machine to the shop.

There will almost certainly be a warranty on it, and the shop will be happy to help you find another model or brand that will work for you.
