What is the Treatment of Plantar fasciitis

February 9th, 2010 . by admin

Plantar fascitis always causes a pain in the heel that will get worse in the morning when getting out of bed or getting up from rest. The long ligament that is responsible for holding up the arch of the foot is the plantar fascia. The ligament inserts into the heel bone. This used to be called heel spur syndrome, but this is not a good name these days as it is been found that most people with heel spurs do not have problems with them and the spur is not even in the plantar fascia. Treatments for this are relatively straight forward and most respond rapidly.
