Swimming helps me
May 28th, 2008 . by adminFor most of my adult life I have suffered from severe degenerative arthritis. I had some injuries to my back and spine when I was a teenager, and my condition has only been made worse by the fact that I am somewhat overweight. But I am finding great relief from a program of regular swimming — I swim in a heated pool about three times a week (about an hour to an hour and a half for each session). Not only does the warm water helped me to feel better, but the exercise is very safe and gentle, as it does not jar my joints or spine at all. If you suffer from this form of arthritis ask your doctor if regular exercise in a swimming pool could help you.
