All you need to know about mangosteen plant

June 30th, 2008 . by admin

The mangosteen plant is originated in South Asia and it’s widely known in Asia because of its health benefits. The fruit, also called mangosteen (not to be confused with mango) is full of nutrients such as vitamins, antioxidants and minerals, which are mainly present in the hard hull of the fruit. The mangosteen tree is very delicate to grow, and it needs a rich organic soil to grow, such as clay. It grows quite slowly, producing fruit after ten years. The mangosteen fruit has a hard thick dark-purple hull and the sweet flesh is white and similar to an orange in shape.

There actually are five asian divisions. There's west asia or what is called the middle east (iran, iraq), southeast asia (ex. indonesia, philippines, vietnam), south asia (ex. india, bangladesh), north or central asia (ex. part of ussr), and east asia (ex. china, korea).

Sounds like Tahitian Noni. I love that stuff! A little expensive, but really worth it. If mangosteen works for you, go for it. If not, try Tahitian Noni. Get the real stuff, not the knock off you can get at Wal mart.

Just to make tiny slits in the fish…hey no problem about asking. I am just suprised that the recipe did not tell you what scoring was.
