Chilblains
July 13th, 2010 . by adminThere are lots of disorders which could have an effect on the blood circulation in response to cold weather. One of the most frequent of them are usually chilblains. They most commonly occur on the feet, but can occur in the hands and also have been seen to affect the nostril and the ears. The reason is often a too fast change from chilly temperatures to warm temps. Usually the tiny arteries need time in order to open up responding to heating. In a chilblain they don’t open up quickly enough to bring nutrition towards the tissues and shift aside waste material. This causes an inflamation related response which eventually evolves into the chilblain.
Thanks, babybuebex. I have chilblains on my ears this winter!!
