Getting off debt

October 19th, 2009 . by admin

Some friends of ours we met in our mormon church are the most interesting people I have ever met. They are very positive and have a “can do” attitude. When they decided they wanted to get out of debt, they didn’t whine about their problem, but they got to work. First they flipped houses, putting in a lot of time and effort, they moved across the country to another area, and then they bought an old school bus and converted it into a pretty awesome home. I don’t know which mormon church they are attending as they travel around now or if they just go from chapel to chapel, but they sure are enjoying nature.

Tips for Selecting Accelerated Nursing Programs

October 19th, 2009 . by admin

There are many Accelerated Nursing Programs, and each one can vary from school to school. To make the right choice for you, you should keep several things in mind. For some applicants, cost is a big issue, so they make their choice on whether they could afford to enroll at a particular school. However, there are initiatives under way to alleviate nursing students’ financial burden through scholarships and repayment schemes. You should also look at an accelerated nursing program’s length of curriculum and the courses to be taught. Finally, you should not neglect to check your prospective nursing school’s accreditation and its reputation in the world of nursing.

Counties and municipalities

September 29th, 2009 . by admin

Sweden is a unitary state, currently divided into twenty-one counties (län). Each county has a County Administrative Board or länsstyrelse, which is appointed by the government (the first Swedish County Administrative Board was made up by the Swedish Prime Minister Axel Oxenstierna in 1634). In each county there is also a separate County Council or landsting, which is elected directly by the people. Each county further divides into a number of municipalities or kommuner, with a total of 290 municipalities in 2004. Municipal government in Sweden is similar to city commission government and cabinet-style council government. A legislative municipal assembly (kommunfullmäktige) of between 31 and 101 members (always an uneven number) is elected from party-list proportional representation at municipal elections, held every four years in conjunction with the national parliamentary elections.

Training To Be a Registered Nurse Online

September 28th, 2009 . by admin

I got married two years ago to a very supportive and wonderful man.  I met him while working at the hospital as an LPN.  He works in the billing office at the hospital so we are able to drive to work together everyday.  He has been trying for several years to convince me to go to school to get my nursing degree, but we really can’t afford for me to quit working.  My husband found a registered nurse online course that he convinced me to enroll in.  I am having a really good time and like the fact that I can still work.

Making Your Own Computer – Budget Time AND Money

September 25th, 2009 . by admin

Often times I’ll find that I need parts for a computer I’m building (and constantly updating – which is probably why it’s not finished), but I’ll run into a budget issue. But by the time I can afford it better parts are necessary (especially if I want to end up with something better than an old Dell – I’m shooting for Alienware made by me). There are some great sites with tech lists that will help you find free parts, but I wish I would have discovered them earlier. Tan-grey is out of style and at this point I need a new Chassis. That is, until retro comes back (again). Maybe I’ll just wait it out and use that site to help fellow tech-geek builders in search of free parts or a place where they can find pre-ranked/rated software programs and useful hardware.

Been Researching Culinary Arts Training

September 22nd, 2009 . by admin

I really enjoy cooking. I like making big meals for my friends and my family and even just for myself some days. I enjoy it so much that I have been thinking about doing it for a career. I have been researching culinary arts training. I know that as good as I may be right now, if I were to apply for a job, I would never get one. I need some official training and to be able to put that on my resume. I have found a few in my area and I think that I am going to go check them out.

Fuad El-Hibri & Emergent BioSolutions Inc.

September 21st, 2009 . by admin

As chairman and CEO of any organization, it is vital that one must have had a remarkable education and work experiences to successfully lead.  This can certainly be said of Fuad El-Hibri, who serves as chairman and CEO of Emergent BioSolutions Incorporated.  He was born in Germany and spent his childhood equally between the Middle East and Europe.  His college years were spent primarily in the United States where he was awarded a degree in economics from Stanford and MBA from Yale.  His upper management position began with Citigroup and from that point, he has risen to his present position with a leading biopharmaceutical company which specializes in developing vaccines for many of the leading infectious diseases around the world.

When the little woman goes to class

September 21st, 2009 . by admin

I have not seen very much of the little woman lately. Our schedules are so completely different right now. I just want to be able to spend a little time with her before she goes off to work or her next class. I have to start my surgical technologist training next week so I will get to see even less of her. Some day this will all be over and she will be out of school and I will be in a good job and we will be able to spend time with each other. I just hope that day is soon.

Didn’t Save the Plumber’s Number – Use Reverse Cell Phone Searches

September 20th, 2009 . by admin

The importance of a plumber’s phone number can be gauged by the number of nights we spend on trying hard to remember their names when we really need them. Though we may not have saved his number, we can still simply do the same by conducting reverse cell phone searches on USA Phone Lookup. Doing reverse cell phone searches is very easy as they provide us with the complete details, like the name and the address of that person. This helps us instantly build a rapport as well as convince the person that we saved their number as we had said earlier. Reverse cell phone searches also avoid us going through calling different people to ask for the plumber which may appear rude at times.

Explaining Reverse Phone Detective

September 19th, 2009 . by admin

What exactly is the reverse phone detective and why is it such a killer tool for you to be using? It is so killer because of time and efficiency that it allows into your life. It connects all of these various databases from within side one software tool. And I should clarify that it doesn’t bring all of these together in some sort of magical form. All it does is allow you to type in a phone number and do a reverse lookup just typing in that phone number and then hitting search. Once you do that the software is smart enough that it knows where to go to each of these databases and it does those in succession all in the background so that you don’t have to go to them individually.

New Neighbors Stop By For a Visit

September 15th, 2009 . by admin

Last week we had a visitor from our new neighbors.  We hadn’t even realized that the house was for sale.  They were really nice and said that they have always lived in the area and wanted a house more out in the open, with not so many close neighbors.  The couple told us that then both have forensic science degrees and work with the State Police in different fields of work.  I found that quite interesting, since I have always been interested in that type of work.  They said they are coming up on their 25th anniversary and will probably be retiring next year.

Exmormons in Utah

September 14th, 2009 . by admin

I think I met more exmormon people in Utah than I have anywhere else I have visited. I think it’s funny when they go on and on about the church and how oppressive it is and I wonder why they don’t just move away from Utah to avoid having the constant reminder of all things mormon. That seems like the logical thing to do. I was even more shocked when one bitter exmormon I know decided to move there after he left the church. I guess he must enjoy torturing himself. It would be like me moving to an area saturated with country music.

I Love the Job I Got After I Went Back to School

September 13th, 2009 . by admin

It took me years to realize that I would never have the job I wanted if I kept doing what I was doing.  Mainly that consisted of struggling to climb the corporate ladder.  Eventually I realized that all I was doing was changing one boring job for another and that I would need to change careers entirely if I wanted work I enjoyed.  Since I enjoy working with people I went online and researched dental assistants schools.  The courses looked interesting and financing was available.  I enrolled, loved my studies, and got a great job as soon as I graduated.  Finally I love waking up on a workday because I know I will enjoy my job.

Executor of will when the estate is insolvent

September 12th, 2009 . by admin

My uncle Sol lived high on the hog all his life. When he was in his 80′s he used to brag that he was spending his family inheritance. My uncle died last fall and guess what? he accomplished his goal. I was named the executor of will for his estate and when we added all of his debts and assets his estate was insolvent. At first, I thought they were going to come after me for the money but I later learned that probate laws don’t allow that. The bad news is that because the estate is underwater I can’t be compensated for all my work as being the executor of will. Thanks uncle Sol.

Beign On Time Is Worth The Effort

September 10th, 2009 . by admin

I know a lot of people who just cannot imagine being on time more than once a week.  It think it’s crazy how different certain people are in their opinions of what it means to be on time.  There is no fluidity in my definition of what it means, but for some they have this idea of an hour window that is accepted as being on time.  However, I think that the importance of being on time should be taken very seriously.  Not only is it good for you, but it shows others that you value who they are, and the appointment with them.

Birthday presents for friends

September 9th, 2009 . by admin

Buying presents for friends is difficult. Especially the ones that have almost everything. I have a few friends who were born into great wealth. No matter what I could think of buying, they could go out and buy a better one themselves.

Just the other week I had a good friend of mine whose birthday was approaching. Unlike a lot of my rich friends who do nothing more than plan out their next luncheon, he is an entrepeneur. He is always trying to start new ventures and make it on his own and get out of the shadows of his father. I thought that since he was going to be very successful one day on his own that to own his own domain name would be a great gift. He could develop it to serve as a resume, overview of his portfolio, or even just a blog. Not to mention, when he is famous one day, would he want another person owning his name? Well, I was able to get the present with a GoDaddy coupon for cheap domains and he really did enjoy it. Originality and thought are what counts.
