I don’t know what the inventor of the DVD had in mind, but one great advantage that it has given me is the opportunity to actually play Grandma’s old upright piano that’s been gathering dust for decades. I wanted to learn to play, but we live out in the country so far that private instruction was pretty much impossible. Then, while surfing the WEB, I came across a Learn Piano DVD. They are everywhere on the Internet. Many carry the old “If you don’t like this, return it for a full refund” promise. I have used learn piano DVDs for several months now, and I’m excited. I’ve dusted off Grandma’s piano, had it tuned by the church organist, and I’m on my way to making music!

Learning the French language is fit for the serious ones. Why is this so? It’s simply because French people does not like English-speaking tourists using the French language in the wrong kind of way. There has been many situations where the French language is misused and the French people does not like to deal with it. A good suggestion is to start learning the correct pronunciation. There may be similar letters that are used in the English language but in French, best learn to speak French it is used in a different way. For example, a double letter ‘ll’ in from an English word is pronounced as “lia” or “ly” but in French, it is pronounced as “y” only. Just like how Germans pronounce the word “ja”.

There is a principle in management science that says in business a person is promoted to the level of their own incompetence and no further. It’s called the ‘Peter Principle’ formulated by Dr. Laurence J. Peter in his book of the same name. After that they stagnate and can only move sideways. This is true for photography also. maternity photography Once you reach your level of incompetence or maximum ability, there you sit. It’s at this point the interest wanes and your camera outings become more and more infrequent. In other words, another death of digital photography. The focus, as in any hobby or pastime, is a continual learning process.

Entertainment has become a breath for parties and events to keep the ambience in swing. Modern British painters and some worldwide painters are going up in popularity giving limited edition prints increasing sales. Sam Toft has a great sale of limited edition prints as an idea. Painters that want to begin gaining their career are not anymore required to make a lot of pieces because of this.
Another advantage of art prints is that it is quite cheap to make and they can be produced in large numbers. Large profit is easy for the popular painters as they can sell their print copies easier at a bulk. Selling today in vast numbers are canvass art prints, due mainly to the increase in popularity of urban art and pop arts and the shift in the popularity of posters by the canvass.

About 2 years ago I decided that I wanted to take up the guitar. I had some ideas about the guitar, but really had no skills at all. But within the first few months I got good enough to play a song or two. I am not saying that I was great, but I knew enough. But something happened and I lost interest in it. But something happened again this month and I knew that I had to start playing again. I wanted to learn and master guitar again for the first time in 2 years. It was so great getting back into it.

Performing arts is the kind of art where the artist’s body, presence, face is being used to showcase talents. Music, drama and dance are all parts of performing arts. Being a performer requires you to have an excellent stage presence and could take a lot of practice and training to be mastered. Trainings are very important for performers because it is the foundation of a good developed talent. Performers often avail of opportunities being offered by Acting Schools in San Diego to further develop and master the art of performing. Performing arts is the cheapest form of art because you don’t have to spend on raw materials like paper, paints, clay, brush etc. although it is the cheapest art it could be one of the hardest to master because often times you will be performing in front of audiences and unlike in paper live performance cannot be erased.

Halloween is right around the corner, and I think I am going to get a Halloween tattoo. I love haunted houses and everything that is Halloween. When I was little, Halloween was only second behind Christmas for me, and it was actually a close second. I think I am going to get a haunted house in the background with some evil looking pumpkins out front. Probably on my back or upper arm is where I’ll put it. Just so I can cover it for my day job. I don’t know how my boss would take it with a tattoo being exposed all the time.

I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing photographers but I have never had so much fun as when I worked with berkshire wedding photographers. When I did an exchange program with some photographers, they came and worked with my company while I went and worked with theirs. From the moment I met with the group they were challenging me to new perspectives and gave me jobs that I had never done before. With the practice and tutelage that they provided, I saw my work deepen and before long I was taking back to my home some of the best pictures I have ever taken.

A new restaurant opened in our area recently. We do not get very many new things, so it was pretty exciting. But then I found out it was a culinary restaurant and I was not 100% sure. I have seen those TV shows where the students under cook meat and rice, etc. So, I decided to ask around a bit. Some of our neighbors went there for dinner so we asked them. They told us that the food was really good and would definitely go back. So, we are thinking about trying it this weekend and are hoping it is good!

I got an email from Dan reminding me that I’ve been podcasting for four years now. That’s a pretty long time for me to be doing anything, especially something that I don’t absolutely have to do.
I’m still having to explain it to people. A lot of folks have heard of it now, but it’s surprising how many have heard the word but still have no idea what it is. I try to tell them that it’s like radio, except you get to listen to whatever you want whenever you want. They always think you need an iPod or something.
Anyway, it was good of Dan to remind me. I think I’ll pour myself a nice tumbler of something and celebrate.

My fingers are sore and my wrist is killing me. Why? You may ask. Recently for my twenty first birthday I received a guitar as a gift. I have always wanted one but am to cheap to buy it myself. I read books on playing and found that learning music scales was an important part of playing. I have mastered some but want to learn the major blues scale to round out what I know. The major blues scale is almost like the pentatonic scale which I already know. I have been practicing it for months now, and I think it is starting to feel much more natural to me.
