In our last installment, I told you what a tooltip is. This time, I want to give you a glimpse into the great variety of tooltip scripts for your website that are available. The simplest tooltip, and also the one I use most frequently myself, is just a little box with a colored border. I find this to be a conservative one that most of my clients prefer. One simple addition is to add a pointer, like you see in cartoons, to show the phrase that’s being referred to. There are lots of ways to really jazz up the little box, which I’ll describe in the next article.
