Printing banners with an inkjet printer?

January 30th, 2008 . by admin

If you will be printing banners with an inkjet printer — as most people at home will — you need to keep in mind that typical ink cartridges in inkjet printers use water-soluble inks. What this means is that pages printed that come into contact with water will become smeared as the ink will dissolve. So if you will be printing a banner that will be displayed out-of-doors, it will probably become unreadable should it rain or snow outside. You will either need to take steps to protect your banner from the elements, or find a way to print using a waterproof ink.
