A marketing assistant is primarily responsible for performing daily administrative work such as handling emails, data entry, and files; coordinating with other department personnel; scheduling conferences; making travel arrangements for marketing manager; and acting as point of contact for administrative help for marketing department personnel. A marketing assistant typically reports to a marketing manager. A marketing assistant should have a high school diploma or an associate’s degree. Excellent administrative skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications are required.
