March 14th, 2009 . by adminA Bounty Hunter is a person who pursues and catches criminals for a reward. They are often hired by bonds men, individuals or companies who pay bail to various courts to ensure that defendants appear on their scheduled court dates. Bounty hunting requires total dedication, time, physical and emotional grit and the right attitude. Check that you have the required experience, qualifications and/or training to be a bounty hunter, and also the other posts you will have to hold, such as private investigator, peace officer and armed security guard. Begin by contacting the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement for detailed info and guidelines. You can also contact the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Private Security Bureau. Fill and submit all license procedures and pay the required fees. Also, set up the dates to take the written examinations. Wait for your license to come before engaging in any employment ventures. Regulations require that any individual who wishes to work as a bounty hunter be licensed. Breaking the law will have strong penalties, including possible prison time. Think of working for an established agency or person in order to gain more expertise and knowledge. This is also a great way to learn the ins and outs of the establishment and to brand your services.
