Did you know every US citizen has the right to get their credit report for free once every 12 months from each of the 3 credit bureaus?

Whenever you apply for a mortgage, loan or credit card the credit provider will pull your credit history to #1 determine if you qualify for the loan and #2 to set what interest rate they will charge you if approved.

As a result it is a great idea to get your free annual credit report at least every 12 months and work on improving your credit score.

Now because the 3 bureaus are required to give you a free report they had to figure out a way to make money to stay in business. They offer various paid upgrades which are all value added products but the main way they make money is by having you sign up for a free trial membership to obtain your free report in hopes you will like the service and continue to use it after the trial.

This is a great service but is completely optional so if you truly want a FREE credit report insure you cancel before the end of the trial period.
