The decision between Liability coverage and Collision coverage is not always easy. When checking car insurance quotes, full coverage is obviously going to be more expensive. The question to me once was: How much more expensive? I had an older Chevrolet pickup that we carried Collision (full coverage)on, because we a had a loan on it. My wife and I decided to drop it to Liability as soon as the loan was paid off to save on our auto insurance premiums. We were surprised that, for some odd reason, the difference between the two policies was almost nothing! I figured that for the price difference I was going to keep Collision on it. It paid off about one year later.
