The cost of a new car is high these days compared to a new one and I was struggling to see the benefits of a new car over a used car so I wondered down to Bristol Volkswagen to see what they had to say on the subject. I spoke briefly with the sales man and he did admit to me that there was more cost to buying a new car but pointed out that it is not as bad as people think. The reasons for this are reduced running costs over the first few years, you pay no MOT costs, and you get tax is cheaper as well. The sales man also pointed out that new car these days also are typically more efficient with fuel than older cars.
