Discover’s Student Gas Card

I think it’s unfair that in this credit based world we live in that the people who tend to need good credit rates on their loans are the people who don’t get them. And the people who could afford to pay a higher rate are given the best rates. For example, one are that has me kind of angry is the student gas card market. Think of your typical student who is trying to go to school full time and work part time. They usually need to drive to get to their 2nd job, and with gas prices being what they are, that can add up to a pretty serious chunk of change and can even make going to work just not worth it. Back when I was in school, gas was less than $2/gallon and wasn’t as bad, but now it’s just ridiculous.
