All that an old car audio system had going for it was the AM/FM radio and a cassette player. The vogue today includes MP3 CD extravaganzas. Speakers used with the car audio system of old that are still in working order are still a viable choice as you buy the new MP3 systems and CD players. Of course, in this case it would be better to buy a car audio that is specially equipped for this precise use.
